J&K: Grenade attack foiled, militant caught

Security forces on Tuesday foiled a grenade attack on them in Doda district and caught one militant during the attempt, officials said.

One Abdul Karim was trying to hurl a grenade on security forces at Manawar village in Doda early Tuesday morning and was caught with a Chinese grenade in possession, they said.

He was handed over to the police for further investigation, they said adding, he was tasked by Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander Abu Irfan to attack the forces.
