J&K: Huge haul of explosives, ammo

Security forces busted five hideouts and recovered 12 kg of RDX along with other ammunition in Jammu division, official sources said on Friday.

Acting on specific information, troops busted a hideout in Gool area of Udhampur district and recovered 12 kg of RDX, water containers, two detonators, four improvised explosive devices and some documents early on Friday, they said.

Troops recovered two SLRs, 180 rounds, a grenade, rifle grenade, a solar panal and four blankets from a hideout in Kunan Nala area of Doda district on Thursday night, they added.

Another hideout was busted at Koolgwas in Doda district and 85 rounds, an IED, a letter pad of Hizbul Mujahideen and some ammunition were recovered on Thursday, they said.

Troops busted two more hideouts in Berirakh and Seri areas in Poonch and Rajouri districts respectively and recovered a pistol, two magazines, eight grenades and a blanket from them last night, the sources added.
