The Jammu and Kashmir [Images] police have busted a major Lashkar-e-Tayiba module arresting 22 of its militants, including the main allegedly responsible for the attack on a rally addressed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] last year and recent assassination of a state minister.

The state police are ascertaining whether they had any role to play in the serial blasts at Delhi on October 29.

K Ranjendra, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir range), told PTI that the 22 included Shabir Bukhari who was allegedly involved in ferrying LeT militants from Bandipore (North Kashmir) to carry out attacks on the prime minister's rally in November 2004 and killing of state education minister Ghulam [Images] Mohammed Lone last month.

Rajendra said Bukhari had dropped two Pakistani militants at the foot of the hillock overlooking the venue of the rally along with arms ammunition and a camera to capture the "action" on video.
