Militant wanted in connection with Ayodhya attack arrested

Security forces have arrested a top Jaish-e-Mohammad ultra wanted in connection with the attack in Ayodhya from Poonch district, official sources said on Friday.

JeM ultra Rafeeq alias Lassa was arrested during a raid conducted at a hideout in the Nakka Manjari belt of Mendhar tehsil of the district.

Some explosives and rounds of ammunition were recovered from him, sources said, adding that he was handed over to the police, who shifted him to the Joint Interrogation Centre for questioning.
