Three army personnel killed in J&K

Three army personnel, including an officer, were killed in a gun battle at Nelipora near Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday.

The gun battle took place after army personnel raided a house in Nelipora following a tip-off.

The raiding party, led by a captain, came under fire from militants hiding in the house, resulting in the death of the officer and two others, sources said.

One jawan was injured, the sources said.
