1 killed, 56 hurt in Kashmir grenade blasts

One person was killed and more than 50 injured in two grenade attacks in Kashmir on Monday.

Mohammed Youssuf was killed and five persons injured when militants threw a grenade at an army convoy in Lal Chowk, Anantnag.

Fifty-one civilians were injured when militants targeted a Border Security Force bunker in Batmaloo, Srinagar.

The civilians were waiting at the main bus stand in Batmaloo when the blast took place.

The injured were taken to various hospitals in Srinagar and the condition of four was said to be serious.
