December 22, 2002 15:42 IST

Three children were killed and two injured when terrorists barged into a house in Kunathal village in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, and opened fire on Saturday night, police said.

They were Nazir, Irfan and Asif [aged between 4 and 12], children of the owner of the house, Munshi Khan, who was injured. A tenant in the house was also wounded, the police said.

In another incident, terrorists fired rockets from a hilltop at the police station in Surankote, Poonch, on Saturday night, the police added.
