PIX: Rajini, Hema Malini, SRK at Big B's birthday bash

The entire film industry joined the Bachchan clan as Bollywood's first family celebrated the 70th birthday of patriarch Amitabh Bachchan on October 10 at Filmcity in Goregaon, a western Mumbai suburb.

The Big B, who turns 70 today (October 11), was joined by wife Jaya, daughter Shweta, son-in-law Nikhil Nanda, grandson Agastya, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the grand bash.

Here's looking at the stars who turned up to wish the legendary actor.

Son Abhishek, dressed nattily in a Tom Ford suit, was joined by wife Aishwarya, dressed in a gold Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation. 

Superstar Rajinikanth flew in from Chennai to wish his Hum costar on his 70th birthday.

Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri made for a striking couple in their designer outfits as they arrived to wish the Big B.

Sonakshi Sinha was seen chatting with Kajol, her sister Tanisha and husband Ajay Devgn.

The Ajay-Sonakshi starrer, Son of Sardar, is scheduled to release on November 13.

Hema Malini has starred with Bachchan in many films through the years. They were last seen together in Babul.

She arrived with daughter Esha Deol and son-in-law Bharat Takhtani.

The Rais made a pretty picture at the birthday bash.

Seen here are Aishwarya's parents, Krishnaraj and Vrinda Rai, and her brother Aditya with his wife Shrima.

Vinod Khanna, Bachchan's co-star in many hit films including Parvarish, Muqaddar Ka Sikander and Amar Akbar Anthony, arrived with wife Kavita and actor son Rahul Khanna.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who emceed the event, arrived with mum Hiroo Johar.

Alia Bhatt, Siddarth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, who star in Johar's soon-to-be-released Student Of The Year, were also invited to the A-list event.

Actor/screen writer Kader Khan, who has collaborated with the Bachchans on many projects, made a rare appearance at the do.

Zeenat Aman, one of Bachchan's leading ladies in the late seventies, was at hand to wish Bachchan. Who can forget their sizzling chemistry in films like Don, Lawaaris and Pukar?

Shatrughan Sinha, Bachchan's costar in films like Kala Patthar and Dostana, arrived with wife Poonam and twins Luv and Kush. Daughter Sonakshi arrived separately.
