First Look: Mammootty plays a Jawan in his next

Mammootty plays an ex-jawan working as a pump operator at a dam site in debutant director Anoop Kannan's Jawan of Vellimala. Mamta Mohandas plays his heroine in the film.The young hero, Asif Ali, teams up with Mammootty in the film. Leona, who makes her entry into movies, is his heroine. Sreenivasan and Baburaj are other prominent characters in the cast.
James Albert, who shot to fame with the script of Classmates, is the scriptwriter.Satheesh Kurup is the cinematographer and Biji Bal, the music director. Produced by Mammootty's Playhouse, the shooting of the film is being completed in two schedules.
