Amitabh Bachchan was shifted out of the ICU at Lilavati Hospital today, December 7, according to informed sources. Bachchan, who underwent a series of tests at the Escorts Heart Institute in Delhi [Images] on November 28 after complaining of abdominal pain, was later flown to Mumbai and admitted to Lilavati Hospital the same night. The 63-year-old underwent a successful surgery for 'diverticulitis' of the small intestine on November 30. Doctors say his recovery has been good.
