Rahul Khanna has finally decided to jump into the Bollywood mainstream and do a commercial Hindi film. The film will be directed by Vikram Bhatt and costars Arjun Rampal and John Abraham.
Khanna, who did the offbeat 1947 Earth (Aamir Khan, Nandita Das), had turned down many film offers before finalising the Bhatt film. Apparently, one of the films he had turned down was Pooja Bhatt's directorial debut Paap [the role is now played by John Abraham].
Khanna, who seems to be a favourite with Deepa Mehta after featuring in two of her films including 1947 Earth and Bollywood/Hollywood, is also doing Mehta's next film, starring Kareena Kapoor.
Will Kuch Na Kaho see Aby's baby through?
Abhishek Bachchan has had no hit to his credit yet. Even Rajshree productions, which have always churned out hits like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Koun...! and Hum Saath Saath Hai, could not give him a hit in their latest venture, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.
But Abhishek is not one to lose hope. This year, the actor has quite a few films in his kitty including Rohan Sippy's Kuch Na Kaho, Rohit Shetty's Zameen, Sreeram's Run, Apoorva Lakhia' s Mumbai Se Aayaa Mera Dost and J P Dutta' s LOC.
Let's hope that Bachchan Jr finally gets his due.
