"The channel, Zee Business, will be positioned as a personal finance channel. It will offer business news in a clutter-free style and in an easy-to-understand language," the company said in a release.
The channel, to be distributed by the Zee-Turner platform, will use the existing Zee News infrastructure and network of bureaus for news collection.
"Zee Business will be highly aggressive on the stock markets, commodity markets and in reporting business news," the company said.
Notably, NDTV and CNBC TV18 have also announced plans to start a Hindi business news channel, the latter by this year-end.
Zee said its channel would telecast an interactive agriculture news bulletin and a special programme on local industries.
"There are also programmes for setting up small businesses and on cutting edge technologies. Then there are news bulletins on sports, foreign affairs and the top news of the day," it said.
On weekends, the channel would show game shows, programmes on fashion, automobiles, cinema and personal finance.
