Wipro Lighting, the consumer products division of Wipro Ltd., has tied up with Concord of UK to sell its architectural range of lighting products in India.
Rajesh Kochhar, Chief Executive, Commercial and Industrial Business, Wipro Lighting, said that through the tie-up Wipro will have the unique privilege of servicing the aesthetics, combined with utility lighting needs of elite customers in India.
Stating that the lighting requirements of today's business have undergone a tremendous change, he said about 50 per cent of the total office energy cost was consumed by lighting. Hence, providing enough lighting at affordable rates was the challenges before the light engineers. Concord range would address to these demands, he added.
He exuded confidence that Wipro, currently holding 10 per cent of the lighting market, will see a sizeable increase in its share in the office segment with the Concord range in the market.
