The government has cleared 11 cases of foreign technology collaboration and franchise agreements and granted eight industrial licences.
The foreign technical collaboration of Hotel Yamunaview with Radisson Hotels and Mitsuba Sical India with Mitsuba Corporation for production of generators for air-conditioners were among the proposals cleared by commerce and industry minister Arun Jaitley, an official press release said.
The technical collaboration of Pam Glatt Pharma Technologies with German firm Glatt GmbH for manufacturing pharmaceutical machinery was also cleared.
A proposal for technical collaboration between Hitachi Home Life and Life Solutions (India) with Hitachi Home Life Solutions, Japan, was also given the go ahead.
A composite proposal of Bharat Electronics Ltd for technical collaboration and grant of industrial licence for enhanced tactical computer wireless local area network for supply to the Army was also approved, the release said.
The proposals were cleared following recommendations by the project approval board and the licensing committee, headed by Lakshmi Chand, secretary department of industrial policy and promotion, at its meeting on April 20.
