Information technology giant Tata Consultancy Services Ltd has reported a 51.8 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 342.19 crore (Rs 3.421 billion) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2004 over same period last fiscal.
The total income for the reporting quarter stood at Rs 2,044.82 crore (Rs 20.448 billion), TCS chief S Ramadorai said in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The net profit and total income for the six months ended September 2004 stood at Rs 760.91 crore (Rs 7.609 billion) and Rs 3,823.51 crore (Rs 38.235 billion), respectively, he added.
