Tata Teleservices will launch short messaging service for its code division multiple access mobile subscribers across the country in June.
The company plans multi-media messaging service launch in August and enhanced messaging service in July.
TTSL will also introduce SMS service for its fixed wireless telephone subscribers in the next two months after completing interconnectivity arrangements with other service-providers in the 15 circles where TTSL is operating FWT services.
"Some of our 'friendly' CDMA subscribers are already exchanging SMS on an experimental basis and it has been a success.
"Now we will decide on the charges and file our tariff with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India," TTSL chief operating officer Jagrut Vyas said.
