Global business process management solutions provider Staffware Plc launched its Indian operations on Thursday and received a BPM contract from HDFC Bank Ltd.
"India is increasingly becoming an integral part of the global economy and a presence and creation of long-term relationships will help us strengthen our presence in the sub-continent," Staffware country manager (India) Paul Maguire told reporters.
The company, which opened its Indian office in Mumbai, is also planning to open offices in other cities, beginning with Delhi and Kolkata, Maguire said, adding that would depend on future client acquisitions.
Staffware is also planning to make India a hub for its outsourcing requirements, cashing in on the talent pool available in the country, he added.
Meanwhile, on the BPM contract received from HDFC Bank, the country manager said that Staffware would implement its 'Process Suite' to help the private sector banking major identify, streamline and automate business critical tasks.
HDFC Bank vice-president (information technology) Anand Narayan said the suite would help the bank augment its centralised processing, thereby lowering operational costs.
