Bangalore-based specialised software solution provider Manthan Systems has launched two new analytical products primarily targeting retailers and consumer packaged goods industry in North America and Europe.

The company's enterprise performance management solution 'AstrA' is built on key business models and methods such as balanced scorecard, benchmarking and casualty analysis applied within the context of retail and CPG industry, its MD and CEO Atul Jalan said.

"AstrA helps retailers measure effectiveness of strategy execution," said Jalan. The second product 'ARC', he said, is an out-of-the-box advanced reporting and analytics solution that "meets the everyday analytical needs" of retail operations managers.

The company, which focuses on the retail and CPG industry, is also targeting markets in Australia, New Zealand and China, Jalan said.

Manthan has offices and operations in North America, Europe and the UK, and 48 channel partners in five continents.

"Our mission is to create sustainable competitive advantage for global retailers and CPG majors by assuming their 'Chief Analytics Officer' role", added Jalan, formerly founder and managing director of Netcraft.

According to company executives, 'AstrA' provides the planning managers a mechanism to link strategy with operations and then the ability to track, monitor and measure the effectiveness of their strategy.

ARC, they said, provides a decision support mechanism by seamlessly integrating with the core transactional systems of a retailer.
