Microsoft Office XP suite price cut by 15%

The estimated retail prices of Microsoft Office XP business suite in India would be lesser now by about 15 per cent following the company's decision to extend the price reductions for these products to Asia-Pacific countries, from the earlier China and Taiwan region.

"Microsoft is reducing the full package product cost of Microsoft Office XP Standard and XP professional by approximately 15 per cent. The retail price reductions will take effect from today throughout the region," a company statement said on Friday.

Last month, Microsoft had announced similar price reductions in China and Taiwan. The move is expected to provide retail customers improved purchasing options that helps address their business needs.
