HelpAge felicitates 35 schools

HelpAge, a leading non-government working for the cause and care of the elderly felicitated the principals and students of 35 schools in Mumbai for their fund-raising efforts.

To recognise the efforts of these young citizens HelpAge India held a ceremony where noted Bollywood star Aftab Shivdasani, character actor Anjan Srivastava and Grace Pinto, Director St. Xaviers and Ryan International Group of Schools were present.

John Thattil, regional director, HelpAge India, said "The aim of organising such an event is to sensitise the youngsters, help them value their elders and to make them aware of the existing condition of older people in today's world and above all thank them for supporting HelpAge India".

HelpAge India runs 55 mobile medicare units, supports 194 old age homes, 56 hospitals and 98 day care centres.
