HDFC Q2 net rises to Rs 299 cr

Housing Development Finance Corporation on Tuesday reported a 20.49 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 298.98 crore (Rs 2.98 billion) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 as against Rs 248.13 crore (Rs 2.48 billion) in the quarter ended September 30, 2004.

According to a release issued by HDFC to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the total income increased 24.29 per cent to Rs 1,048.45 crore (Rs 10.48 billion) in Q2 FY06 as against Rs 843.54 crore (Rs 8.43 billion) in Q2 FY05.
