The export volume of China's information technology products is expected to reach 200 billion this year, China's ministry of information industry said on Friday.
By the end of October this year, the export volume of IT products stood at $161.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 47.1 per cent, the ministry said at a working conference on China's IT industry development in 2005 held in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang province.
The total export and import volume of IT products totalled $308.1 billion from January to October, up 43.4 per cent year-on-year. IT products also had a registered trade surplus of $14.7 billion, the ministry said.
In 2004, the sales volume of China's IT industry is expected to reach 2.5 trillion yuan ($301.9 billion), up 33 per cent year-on-year.
Its industrial added-value is expected to reach $66.4 billion, up 37.5 per cent.
