The company, which is emerging as one of the fastest growing offshore IT vendors in Canada, currently employs over 250 people there, it informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company's employees in Canada work on application maintenance, development, testing, IT strategy and ERP applications, it said.
iGate Global had recently also signed two deals in Canada, one a multi-year Integrated Technology and Operations (iTOPS) deal in the finance and accounting space and the other in IT services for a leading financial services company.
"IGATE's iTOPS model has been well received in the Canadian market. We are in active discussions with a number of Global Corporations on iTOPS related initiatives in the BFSI space, " Phaneesh Murthy, CEO said.
