Wipro Ltd, which announced its fourth quarter results alongside a stock bonus, said that it had renamed its Wipro Spectramind BPO operations as Wipro BPO Solutions Ltd and was initiating steps which would see it merge the BPO division with Wipro Technologies.
This according to Raman Roy, chief executive officer of Wipro BPO Solutions Ltd, was 'just a logical conclusion to the acquisition that was made.'
Wipro had paid $90 million in July 2002 to acquire then India's top BPO company Spectramind in an all cash deal.
