Satyam adds 27 clients in Q2

Satyam Computer Services announced on Wednesday that it added 27 new clients in the quarter ended September 30, 2003.
"The number of customers with an annual run rate of a million dollars has increased from 64 in Q1 to 72 in Q2," chairman B Ramalinga Raju said in a release posted on the company website.
The total manpower strength, as on September 30, 2003, stood at 11,250 as against 10,592 on June 30, 2003.
The company also upped its earnings guidance for the full year. Satyam is now expecting a topline growth of 26-28 per cent in dollar terms from the earlier estimate of 18-20 per cent.
"In order to achieve this growth and prepare for the coming year, our net addition of employees in the current financial year is expected to be 3,000 compared to 1,500 indicated earlier," Raju said.
Talking about prices, Raju said: "Prices are progressing towards stability. The main issues, which continue to engage us, relate to attrition, cost management and unabated appreciation of the rupee. These will have some effect on near-term margins."
