Digital Globalsoft has posted a 14 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 106.02 crore (Rs 1.06 billion) for FY03 as against Rs 92.67 crore (Rs 926.7 million) in FY02.

Total income has increased 27 per cent to Rs 439.94 crore (Rs 4.40 billion) from Rs 345.25 crore (Rs 3.45 billion), according to a release issued by Digital Globalsoft to the Bombay Stock Exchnage on Tuesday.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 30.04 crore (Rs 300.4 million) on total income of Rs 127.14 crore (Rs 1.27 billion) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2003.

The board has recommended a dividend of 45 per cent for the financial year ended March 31, 2003.

Digital remains positive about the business prospects going forward, the release said.

Digital Contact Centre and Digital InfoLife business unit are in an investment phase influencing margins in the immediate term, but are expected to drive contribution to earnings from a long-term perspective, it added.

Digital continues to remain encouraged about its outlook for FY 2004 considering high level of customer traction combined with increased business opportunity for off-shoring, the company said.
