PIX: Bollywood's hottest stars catwalk for a cause

Priyanka Chopra was among a host of Bollywood stars who descended at Mumbai's Trident Hotel on Sunday to take part in Shabana Azmi's fund-raising fashion show Mijwan -- Sonnets in Fabric in aid of the Mijwan Welfare Society, the NGO established by her father, late poet Kaifi Azmi.

The Society works towards empowering the girl child in Mijwan, Azmi's native village located in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.

The celebs on the ramp included Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty, Lara Dutta and Karan Johar.

Priyanka, who swore to work for the cause of girl education in the country after she was recently appointed UNICEF ambassador, wore an outfit designed by Manish Malhotra who has adopted the Kaifi Azmi Chikankari Centre in Mijwan for a year.

Priyanka wasn't the only one wearing Manish's creation which has been inspired by traditional and ethnic cultural heritage of some regions like Bhopal, Lucknow and Awadh.

Looking more like a bride than the wedding planner she convincingly portrayed in her hit movie Band Bajaa Baarat is Anushka Sharma.
