Leading carrier Jet Airways is recruiting young professionals as cabin crew. Walk-in interviews have begun across the city.

Who can apply

To apply for the position of cabin crew, you must fulfill the following criteria:

Age: Between 18 and 27 years

Minimum height for women: 157 cms

Minimum height for men: 170 cms

Weight: Must be in proportion to height

Educational qualification: HSC (or 10 2)

Physical features: Pleasing personality with an unblemished complexion and good eyesight

Marital status: Unmarried

Language skills: Fluency in English and Hindi

Interactive skills: Excellent communication and good interpersonal skills

Dresss code: Formal trousers / shirts

In addition to the above, the candidate must also bear the following to qualify for the interview:

A valid Indian passport

An updated Resume with one passport size photograph and one full length photograph

Cabin Crew professionals employed with other airlines are also eligible to apply

How to apply

Jet Airways has organised walk-in interviews at Bhopal, Chandigarh, Delhi, Deharadun, Jaipur, Lucknow and Mumbai.

Virgin Atlantic announces Rs 5 lakh scholarship for Indian students

Virgin Atlantic owner Richard Branson has announced a unique scholarship for Indian students aspiring to study abroad.

Branson has invited young Indian students who wish to study in the UK and the US to share their vision on how they can use their education to solve a problem of the world.

The lucky winner whose idea will impress Branson will earn a scholarship worth Rs 5 lakh from Virgin Atlantic.

How to apply

To apply for the scholarship, you have to be an Indian national.

Interested students can e-mail their ideas -- in no more than 500 words -- along with proof of admission to a university in the UK/USA and a Virgin Atlantic booking to Indiastudents@fly.virgin.com.

Important date

The last date to apply for the scholarship is October 15, 2013
