It's that time of the year when people across the country are gearing up to celebrate the harvest festival.

From Thai Pongal in South India to Lohri in Punjab, Bihu in Assam to Makar Sankranti in Maharastra and other northern states, communities across India will mark the beginning of spring.

This is also the time to feast on some regional delicacies including til gud laddoos, chikkis, undhiyo, til pitha, narikol laru, patishapta, appalu, sweet pongal and phini.

We ask you, dear readers, how are you celebrating the festival? Tell us about your interesting rituals, traditions and the food menu.

Share your favourite festive recipes of til gul, sakkarai pongal, narikol laru and more with us.

You can mail your recipes and pics to getahead@rediff.co.in (Subject: Festive Recipes) along with your NAME, LOCATION.

Don't forget to share a photograph of the recipe. We'll publish the best responses right here on Rediff.com.
