Are you aware that some of the common foods you consume act as aphrodisiacs?

Western research always tends to brush these off, relegating the powers of these aphrodisiacs to myths, but research does show that there may be something there.

Interestingly, some of the classic aphrodisiacs resemble the human genitalia or the urogenital system in appearance.

And then there are brain foods –- like walnuts -- that resemble the brain!

There are other interesting connections being drawn too:

That aphrodisiacs are not just libido-lifters, but are also mood-spiking compounds.

That most of them would function as powerful anti-depressants.

That they may also be used to deal with addictive behaviour, because many of the aphrodisiacs are nervine –- which means they impact the nervous system powerfully.

And some of them are also hallucinogenic -- similar to powerful narcotics.

Collectively, they appear to share similar characteristics: fight bacteria or infections, boost immunity, power the uro-genital system, affect the nervous system powerfully, help with pain relief, boost blood circulation, and manage blood pressure.

It's exciting to see that these are the reasons why they may help in libido-boosting too, though in a roundabout way –- by managing the problems and helping you relax emotionally.
