The Jawaani Jaaneman star is wearing her mother Pooja Bedi's old red lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra which she has beautifully paired with a comfy white shirt and sneakers.

In her interview to the magazine's editor Nandini Bhalla, the actor revealed the inspiration behind her look and how her mother was surprised by her choice of wearing sneakers with lehenga.
'I'm a fan of heels, and there are only so many times when I can dress up in Indian attire. So when I can, I make the most of it and go all-out. But then there comes a point when you just want to take off your heels and dance at a wedding! And that's when I switch to sneakers,' Alaya told the magazine.
'The lehenga I wore is my mother's, an old one by Manish Malhotra. I thought it was cool to take something so old and wear it in a new way. When I told my mother (Pooja Bedi) I was going to wear it with sneakers, she asked ‘Why sneakers?’ And I was like, ‘Mumma, that's the style! That's what people do these days,’ she added.
