When hosting a party at a banquet hall or a restaurant, people definitely quiz the management about the food. Other questions on the list usually include the capacity of the place, whether there is a provision for valet parking, etc.

But have you ever questioned the management about the safety of the venue?

How equipped are they to handle fire mishaps?

What is their plan of action in case of a short circuit or worse?

Where are their emergency exits situated or how many fire extinguishers and water hydrants are available at the venue?

Do they have first-aid facilities and where the closest hospital is located?

We ask you, dear readers, have you or people you know ever asked a restaurant or banquet hall for its fire safety compliance?

What was the management's response? Did they give you a satisfactory answer or did they just evade the question?

Did you still go ahead and book the place or did you choose another banquet hall/restaurant?

Share your experiences with us and other readers.
