Meet modelling hopeful Arry Dabas
February 09, 2009
Several modelling hopefuls auditioned last week for the Lakme Fashion Week's autumn/winter instalment coming up next month.

Eight models have made the final cut and will be seen on the runway.

As part of an ongoing series, we spoke to Delhi [Images] girl Pallavi Singh and South Indian beauty Bindya Talluri. Today, Get Ahead brings you a first look at another new face:

Meet Arry Dabas, a 22-year-old who loves to cook and moved from Haryana to Bangalore to study hotel management. Destiny seems to have other things in store for this young hunk, though -- he was discovered by fashion choreographer Prasad Bidappa two years ago and has since been initiated into the world of modelling.

Arry has since been part of the Haywards Men's Fashion Week, featured alongside Milind Soman [Images] in an Excalibur ad campaign, won the title of Best Model of the Year 2007 and is now looking to make a mark at the LFW.

He is more than willing to switch careers from hotel management to full-time modelling. "It was exciting auditioning for Fashion Week, but also nerve-wracking,"he grins. "I love walking the ramp. Modelling is also a good way to meet and socialise with people and I'm a party person!"

Watch out for Arry on the LFW ramp this season.
