What: The Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow invites students and working professionals to attend their annual business conclave, Manfest 2006.

The theme of the conclave is 'India Global Torchbearers'.

~ Collosseum: A panel discussion on 'India global torchbearers and the road ahead'. The speakers include the following:

• Dr P Mohammed Ali (MD, Galfar Constructions; Bharat Pravasi Award Winner)
• Dr Ajit Ranade (Chief economist, Aditya Birla Group)
• Proshanto Banerjee (CMD, GAIL)
• Ashok V Desai (Consultant editor, The Telegraph; contributor, BusinessWorld)

~ Beyond Business: The fest would be graced by famous and successful faces from the film and music industry and the corporate world, including actor Boman Irani and singer KK. 

~ Business Quiz will be conducted by cricket anchor Gautam Bhimani.

~ Biz Theatre: Live Consulting' assignments in the areas of management, marketing, finance, strategy, systems, operations and human resources.

~ Video Conferencing Sessions. The participants include: 

• Sam Pitroda (inventor; technocrat; social thinker; CEO, WorldTel, an international telecommunications corporation)
• Rajat Gupta (former MD (worldwide), McKinsey and Company)

~ Karvy Go-Trade: A live stock trading game. Students will trade in real markets with real money. Each team has a corpus of Rs 60,000 -- Rs 10,000 comes from each team while Karvy, a financial services provider, will pitch in with Rs 50,000. The winner of this two month trading game, which ends on January 20, will win a cash award of Rs 1,00,000.

~ Gravitas: An IIM Lucknow Manfest publication, Gravitas shall comprise of the views of leading industrialists, economists, policy makers and thinkers in their respective fields.
