Seamer Jhulan Goswami's five-wicket haul helped India gain a huge 208-run first innings lead over England on the third day of their second women's Test at the County Ground, Taunton, on Thursday.

Jhulan, who had dismissed the top three England batters cheaply on Wednesday, picked another two wickets to complete her second five-for (5/33) as the hosts were bundled out for 99.

Captain Charlotte Edwards was the top scorer for the home side with a defiant 26 off 54 balls.

Amita Sharma and Rumeli Dhar scalped two English batters each while N Al Khader claimed one as India asked England to follow-on.

After posting a strong 307 in the first innings, the Indian women made the most of the seaming conditions as their new ball bowlers -- Jhulan and Amita  -- reduced the home team to 6 for 46 at one stage.

However, Charlotte and Jane Smit (15) provided some respite to England by putting up 38 runs partnership for the seventh wicket.

The two-Test series is level 0-0 with the first Test having ended in a draw.
