DC end losing streak

DC 226-3 (19.2 Ovs) vs RR 225-6 | SCORECARD

Delhi Capitals move up to sixth on the points table, bouncing back strongly after three straight defeats.

The chase was set up beautifully at the top by KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka, whose fluent fifties gave DC a flying start and ensured they dictated terms right through the powerplay.

In the middle and later stages, Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma kept the momentum going, never allowing the required rate to climb out of reach.

The game did go into the final over, but DC were always in control through the second half of the chase. It ends as a convincing 7-wicket win with 5 balls to spare -- a timely and emphatic return to form.

RR opt to bat vs DC in Jaipur

The captains are out for the toss in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals have won the toss, with skipper Riyan Parag calling it right and opting to bat first against Delhi Capitals.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag confirmed his side will bat first after winning the toss. He noted that the Jaipur surface isn't the usual one -- there's dryness and a slightly patchy look, which could slow down in the second innings.

Parag added that posting a strong total is key, especially after seeing how teams have successfully chased big scores in Jaipur this season.

Riyan Parag also confirmed two changes for RR, with Ravi Bishnoi coming in and Shubham Dubey also included.

Axar Patel confirmed three changes for Delhi Capitals with Mitchell Starc returning to the XI and Dushmantha Chameera missing out. Pathum Nissanka comes in, meaning David Miller sits out, while Ashutosh Sharma also features.

Axar said the pitch looks good and Delhi are happy to chase, stressing the need to 'go back to basics.'

Starc returns! Can he save Delhi Capitals?

image

The Delhi Capitals head into a crucial clash against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, desperate to halt a worrying slide. With three wins in seven games, Axar Patel's side sit seventh and need momentum fast.

Delhi's campaign has been defined by inconsistency. The likes of KL Rahul, David Miller and Tristan Stubbs have delivered in patches, but the unit has failed collectively. Being bowled out for 75 in their last outing exposed their fragility, though Abhishek Porel's cameo offered a small positive.

The return of Mitchell Starc, cleared by Cricket Australia, strengthens a struggling attack. With Lungi Ngidi unavailable, Starc's presence could be key against a strong Royals lineup.

Rajasthan, sitting fourth, arrive full of confidence after beating Punjab Kings. With Yashasvi Jaiswal in form and a settled middle order, they look far more balanced.

At the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, runs are flowing. Delhi must click as a unit to stay alive in the race.
