Punjab openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya walk out to begin the innings, with Jofra Archer taking the new ball.
Prabhsimran is on strike. He starts watchfully, defending the first delivery, but quickly shifts gears--cracking the next ball to the boundary. He follows it up with another four, getting things moving early.
A delivery down the leg side brushes his thigh pad and races away past the keeper for a leg bye. Archer then tightens things up, beating Prabhsimran with a fuller ball that nearly sneaks back onto the stumps.
A dot ball to finish, but it's still a positive start--eight runs come off the opening over.
Nandre Burger takes over from the other end, with Priyansh Arya on strike.
Arya gets going straightaway, finding the gap for a couple of easy runs. A short ball follows and he pounces on it, pulling it away confidently for four. Next up -- he goes big! A towering six over extra cover shows his intent.
He keeps the pressure on, stepping forward to drive another boundary. Then a thick outside edge flies down to third man for four more. A slight misfield adds an extra run to Punjab's tally.
A big over for Punjab Kings -- 21 runs come off it. After two overs, they're flying at 29 without loss.
