India are 27 for 2 at stumps on Day 4 of the 2nd Test in Guwahati on Tuesday.

India are in a massive hole still needing 522 runs with 8 wickets in hand.

Kuldeep and Sudharsan are unbeaten at the crease.

Chasing 549 for victory, India lost two early wickets with Jaiswal falling to Jansen caught behind for 13.

Harmer struck soon after as Rahul was bowled all ends up for 6.

Earlier, Tristan Stubbs (94) and Tony de Zorzi (49) defied India's spin attack before South Africa declared their second innings at 260 for 5, giving the hosts a mammoth 549-run target for victory on day four of the second Test, in Guwahati on Tuesday.

After Ravindra Jadeja (4/62) and Washington Sundar (1/67) got early breakthroughs in the morning session, reducing South Africa to 77/3, Stubbs (94 runs off 180 balls) and de Zorzi (49 off 68 balls) batted resolutely to stitch together a 101-run stand to consolidate their team's position.

Stubbs also put on another 82 runs with Wiaan Mulder (35 runs) for the fifth wicket.

Earlier, it was Jadeja who got the early breakthroughs in the day by dismissing openers Ryan Rickelton (35 off 64 balls) and Aiden Markram (29 off 84 balls) as South Africa reached 107 for 3 at tea, with an overall lead of 395 runs.

Harmer continues and Kuldeep starts with three dots as three fielders come up close even as the batter trusts his defence.

He then cuts it with half a mind and the ball falls short of the slip fielder.

A dot later, the umpires discuss the light and stumps called on Day 4. India in a huge hole.

Maharaj continues and Sudharsan starts with two front foot defences before going on the back foot to defend.

Sudharsan goes for the sweep, misses as the ball ricochets off his gloves and nearly hits his stump, Sudharsan manages to keep the ball from rolling onto the stumps as he finds himself in all sorts of tangles.

Harmer continues and Sudharsan is beaten on the outside edge.

Sudharsan then plays the next ball to short fine leg for a single.

Maharaj continues and he comes over the wicket to Kuldeep who plays three dots before Kuldeep is off the mark with a boundary off the inside edge as the ball is tossed up on the off stump and that is a four to fine leg.

The next ball takes off to hit Kuldeep on the shoulder.
