Root and Pope's partnership has gone to 69 as India's bowlers struggle to find wickets. England trail by just 92 now.

The next one is around middle and leg and Pope plays it to the leg side for another dot.

Siraj then bowls a good length ball on the pads and Pope plays it to backward square leg for a single.

Root then steers the ball to covers for a single to become the third highest Test scorer in history with 13290 runs! He surpasses Rahul Dravid and Jacques Kallis to the feat.

Bumrah continues and the back of length ball is steered to gully for a dot.

Another dot later, the length ball is guided through cover with an open faced bat and a that is a well-timed boundary.

Root then plays the ball to third man for a single to match Kallis for most runs in Test with 13289 runs.

Pope then takes a single to the leg side before a dot to end the over as 6 come off it.


Siraj continues and after 4 dots, Root nudges it to cover point off the back foot and that is a single. 

Siraj bowls a shorter one that cuts into Pope into two as he is beaten on the inside edge as it nips back in and dies down as it goes to the keeper. One comes off the over.


Bumrah continues and after three dots, Root takes a single to square leg.

Short ball next and Pope pulls it to backward square leg for a four, bringing up England's 250.
