Rain and collapse leave India struggling at close

India 51-4 (17 Ovs) vs Aus 445 | Scorecard

Day 3 of the Brisbane Test was marred by persistent rain, severely limiting play.

In the brief period of action, India's batting woes continued, with early wickets of Jaiswal and Kohli leaving them in a precarious position. The Indian team will be hoping for better weather conditions in the coming days to turn the match around.

India's batting order was further exposed as Rishabh Pant fell victim to Mitchell Starc, leaving the visitors reeling at 44/4.

The constant rain interruptions disrupted India's rhythm, preventing them from building any meaningful partnerships.

With a daunting 394-run deficit and a gloomy weather forecast for the next day, India's chances of salvaging the Test match appear bleak.

Good morning and welcome to the third day of the Brisbane Test at the Gabba and it has started to rain. Players were forced to abandon their warm-up sessions due to the inclement weather.

India will need to put up a strong batting performance to claw back into the game. Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has outlined key strategies that the visitors can adopt to turn the match in their favour.

However, the persistent rain forecast for the next three days could significantly impact the outcome of the Test, which is currently under Australia's control.
