Sensex sheds 59 points at close

The Sensex closed down 59 points at 5,065. The Nifty shed 19 points at 1,590.

Reliance ended 2.5% (Rs 12) lower at Rs 463. ITC and HLL shed a per cent each to Rs 1,023 and Rs 107, respectively.

While Infosys and Wipro ended with gains at Rs 1,547 and Rs 564, respectively, Satyam closed Rs 2 lower at Rs 338.

Tata Power was the major loser among the Sensex stocks - the scrip dropped 4.5% (Rs 12) to Rs 249.
