M&M Q2 net at Rs 157.20 cr

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd has posted a 28 per cent increase in net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 at Rs 157.20 crore (Rs 1.57 billion) as compared to Rs 122.90 crore (Rs 1.22 billion) in the corresponding period last year.

Net sales and income from operations increased 23 per cent to Rs 1,914.80 crore (Rs 19.14 billion) as compared to Rs 1,554.40 crore (Rs 15.54 billion) in Q2 of FY05, the company said.
