Effective Monday, August 22, Jet Airways will be the first airline in India to launch an exclusive Web-based promotion: 'Fly Far East Free.'
Enthused by the response to Jet Airways' e-ticketing product, the airline has unveiled this promotional programme to reward passengers who book tickets on its Web site www.jetairways.com.
The 'Fly Far East Free' offer is applicable for online bookings only.
A Jet Airways statement on Saturday said: 'With the 'Fly Far East Free' offer, passengers can now win free return tickets (conditions apply) on the Mumbai-Singapore and/or Chennai-Kuala Lumpur sectors, by simply travelling 10 times to and from any of the three sectors Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, between August 22 and October 15, 2005.'
The statement said that for every 10 economy class boarding passes, passengers can win a return economy class ticket on the Mumbai-Singapore or Chennai-Kuala Lumpur sectors.
Also, with 10 business class boarding passes, a return business class ticket on the Mumbai-Singapore or Chennai -Kuala Lumpur sectors can be won.
Tickets can be redeemed by all passengers, including Jet Privilege members, by calling the JP Service Centre in Mumbai on 022 28508588 or by sending an e-mail to jetprivilege@jetairways.com.
The airline's statement said that bookings on the Web have shown a huge increase month-on-month since the introduction of e-ticketing. Web sales for the first quarter of 05-06 have shown over a 200 per cent rise as compared to the same period last year.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 39 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft, 3 A340-300 E aircraft and 8 modern ATR72-500 Turboprop aircraft.
