IBM India plans to set up a series of specialised 'think world' showrooms in major cities and towns across the country to showcase its latest products and solutions.
"This is an initiative embarked upon by the company in association with its business partners in various centres to sell PCs not as PCs but as technology solutions," Neeraj Sharma, country manager (brand marketing), IBM India, told reporters after inaugurating the company's 'think world' showroom in Chennai.
These showrooms would also serve as centres for demonstrating IBM products and accessories.
The partners running the showrooms would be provided specialised training by IBM through the suite of educational modules like "IBM think vantage university programme."
The Chennai 'think world showroom' has been set up in association with the city based Abacus Netcomm.
Speaking on the occasion, R Prabhakar, managing director, Abacus Netcomm said that IBM and Abacus Netcomm would also engage in joint marketing activities.
