The government is talking to certain countries on the issue of extending dual citizenship to non-resident Indians and People of Indian Origin, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
"On the issue of dual citizenship, we are talking to other countries," he said while replying to the debate on the motion of thanks to the president's address.
Recalling the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention organised in January this year, the prime minister said Indians living abroad had made a good future for themselves and also had a commitment towards their country of origin.
