GrapeCity India wins US award

A language translation solution developed by the Indian arm of Japan-based IT solutions company GrapeCity has won the US Handango Champion Award for 'Best Industry Application for the Pocket PC for 2005'.

"The solution 'Talking Phrasebooks' is a mobile application that can be downloaded onto a PDA. It contains over 2,000 essential phrases and terms in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish and translates from any one of the language to the other," a release said.

"This award is recognition of our efforts and the hard work put in by the mobile application development team in India. It is a great honour that the Phrasebooks project has bagged many prestigious awards in the US," Ashoke Ghosh, president, delivery services, GrapeCity India, said.
