Central Reserve Police Force Director General Vikram Srivastava on Monday claimed that his force has not fired a single bullet since Monday morning in violence-hit Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir.Interacting with the media, Srivastava said, "No ammunition has been fired by the CRPF at the funeral procession. Our basic position is that we are there to assist the state police."He said that the CRPF personnel are helping out the Jammu and Kashmir police.

A Pakistani officer allegedly fired at a Central Reserve Police Force camp, which is part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in violence-hit Liberia, leaving a civilian seriously injured. There were no casualties in the CRPF camp. The incident took place on June 8 in Zwedru, the capital of Grand Gedeh County, one of the 15 counties in the West African country of Liberia.
