Rising water levels in the Ganga and Varuna rivers have caused a fresh bout of floods in Varanasi, inundating low-lying areas, disrupting daily life, and damaging crops.
People affected due the flood have taken refuge in safer areas as the administration prepares to shift them to relief camps.

Thirteen people were killed on Saturday and eight others injured when a bus fell into a river near Kalikadham village near Varanasi, said the police.
