Joint Commissioner (Chennai North) M Ramasubramani, under whose jurisdiction the Madras High Court comes, has been transferred in the wake of the clashes between police and advocates in the court premises. Ramasubramani has been transferred and posted as DIG Railways, official sources said.
Against the backdrop of violent protests by lawyers, the Tamil government on Friday night issued shoot-at-sight orders against those trying to damage public properties and create disturbance to general public.
Four of the 226 boxes stacked with the cash were found tampered with.
