Seven-times World champion Michael Schumacher will come out of retirement to make a Formula One comeback with Mercedes next year at the age of 41, the team said on Wednesday. Mercedes Motorsports vice-president Norbert Haug told reporters in a telephone news conference that a contract was signed on Tuesday.
World champion Lewis Hamilton's new McLaren is too slow and it could be some time before it can win races, the Formula One team said on Friday in a frank acknowledgment of their pre-season problems.
